DC33 Questions
« on: January 27, 2016, 08:37:56 pm »
I'm hopefully selling my DC07 Allergy+ HEPA Turquoise/purple for £65  to get this DC33!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DYSON-DC33-ANIMAL-VACUUM-CLEANER-EXCELLENT-CONDITION-USED-/201512216671?hash=item2eeb10685f:g:jaEAAOSwoydWp6Q8
Would be a good daily driver along with the DC14. I like the mini turbine head and the soft dusting brush, hope I will actually bother to do the dusting! We have a black TV stand and a black glass coffee table, the on board tools have an awkward angle and are too small, lol. Should be 4 years old, minimum. Gonna inherit the warranty aswell!

PS- When did the DC33 come out, guys? Thanks :)

There not as good as the DC14 or even the DC27, the wand is plastic.

Cheers guys :)
I had the neighbour's DC33 in for repair twice and it seems like a nice vacuum :) Hated the plastic wands but the DC41 plastic wand is alright now, I quite like it lightweight ;D

I feel blessed! If I don't win the auction, there's another one with all the 4 same tools! ;D Just a bit further and loss of suction too

Well done on becoming the proud owner of a nice DC33!

I quite like the DC33. My only real gripe with it is the foam gasket at the top of the cyclone. They wear out too quickly. I have had them worn out in under 2 years. So with a 5 year warranty, Dyson should replace this. But as they do not have this available as a spare part ( or did not when I phoned them last year ) they should replace the whole cyclone.

I just replace them without going through all the hassle of calling. If it is a customers machine, I tell the customer to call Dyson and tell them it's making a whistling noise from the top and not mention they have taken it for repair. So far, both my customers called back in to tell me they had replacements sent.

Switching to that piddly bit of foam in all dysons after the DC14 was one of the biggest mistakes Mr D ever made.

Lovely! I find their customer service good, they sent me a new cyclone twice when my DC41 cyclone clip snapped twice

The DC33 looks good to me, is it possible to get the post filter white again? I want to try and make it look like as new as possible

I used to hate the plastic wand, I kinda like it now because Igot used to my 41, but they made a mistake using glue for the wand collar instead of the good DC14 with a clip! The glue isn't that strong and my neighbour's DC33 had needed a new wand, even super glue didn't work

The post motor filter cover is weird, feels a bit cheapo but apart from that I like the machine :)

Whenever I refurb a 24, 25 or 33 I price in a new gasket seal, stupid things! Really must bulk up on them one day
