Hi all,
I'm not a Dyson collector, but I do try to repair everything around the house before resorting to skipping it.
Years ago, I bought a new clutched DC04 - I no longer have this. At a later date, I bought a second-hand DC07 (non-clutch) which I still have and in bits at the moment is a DC02 which belong to the house (rented).
Referred here by beko1987 to his DC02 refurb.
Cheers,
EH

Hi Eddie! How did you get on with the 02?

Err, it's still in bits at the moment.
At the very least I'll need a banana as the one on it is crocked.

And filters! If you blocked off the release valves on the cyclone with tape rather than fit the valves back that will help too, just don't leave it blocked for a while as it will overheat and die.
Mvacs will have a nice cheap used banana I'm sure! Pm them or wait for them to see this thread.
If your doing the cars with it I'd recommend a longer crevice tool as well, the dc07 one will go further down the sides of seat runners, the dusting brush will be better as well as the 02 one has a plastic thing not too deep that keeps the bristles in check.

I've got 3 out of 4 good filters here. They were washables, so I chucked them in the machine.
This particular one has the later floor tool head with two wheels at the back.

Claire, whilst you are having a rummage do you have any DC02 Clear stuff? Small tools, hose entry swivel bit banana (you will win if you can find one...) and tool door?
All in clear...

Hi Eddie we don't have any DC02 clear parts I am afraid. You will be lucky to get clear parts. We do have a grey and yellow used banana though if that's any good?

Hehe! I picked it up earlier. It's soooo battered that I have sold the extension tube, floor tool and front wheels already (and made the purchase price back thank god)

Hi Eddie! I am a friend of Beko, nice to meet you :P)
I collect, refurbish and "sometimes" sell Dysons or vacuums if I am bored of them and want a new one, lol
Enjoy the forum!

Thank you Parwaz7862 and MV Claire.
I've still to work out my order as I have another toy to look at before taking the plunge.
