About the DC07
« on: September 26, 2010, 01:00:07 am »
The DC07, released in the earlier part of this millennium, is given the slogan 'the original root cyclone upright'. This is appropriate because this was the first implementation of Root Cyclone technology into a vacuum cleaner. Many people were confused if this technology was any different from the previous Dual Cyclone technology (slightly better suction actually). The model is very similar in features to the DC04 - but a bit more sleek.

They are available in a wide variety of colours and are a great value reconditioned buy. Dyson took everything they had learned with the DC01 and DC04 and improved it to make the DC07. The DC07 remains the best-selling model off our shop floor - we sell these machines every day of the week! Why spend £200-£300 on a new Dyson when for less than £100 you can buy one of these from us?

We sell these machines reconditioned. What does that mean? We start by taking the machine completely to pieces. Only when fully dismantled into its component parts, are we able to scrutinise each part and rebuild it to our high standard.

We replace anything found to be defective during the rebuild so you can be confident you are getting a properly refurbished Dyson. We do not buy our refurbished Dysons from elsewhere, they are all rebuilt right here in our Manchester workshop.

The machine is first dismantled into its component parts:

  • All component parts are cleaned and disinfected properly to remove dirt, bacteria and odours.
  • The cyclone is dismantled and the internal airways are pressure cleaned to restore as new performance.
  • We bench test the motor and replace it if it is not running perfectly.
  • The roller bearings are lubricated and replaced as necessary.
  • The brush roller bristles are checked for efficient length.
  • The electrical cable, internal wiring and electrical components are checked for safety.
  • All hoses and seals are examined and replaced as necessary.
  • The Dyson is rebuilt, using clean filters and made to operate with full suction as if it were new again.
  • We are confident that our refurbished machines are of an excellent standard. We offer our no quibble six-month guarantee on all refurbished machines, together with free local delivery

You can get a reconditioned Dyson DC07 from us here: Reconditioned Dyson DC07

We also offer Re-manufactured Dyson DC07's.

How do they differ from reconditioned? With the "Remanufactured" DC07, we take standard reconditioning a step further here. From the many hundreds of DC07's we get for recycling, we select the ones in the absolute best visual condition, with the highest specifications and the most popular colours.

Next, we strip the machine to nut and bolt level and clean the components as we do with regular reconditioned machines. Then we fit a brand new motor, followed by all brand new hoses, belts and filters. Then we put three brand new tools with it. Anything re-used on these machines must be better than "serviceable" - it must be absolutely excellent. These are essentially brand new machines in every aspect but the carefully selected external plastic casings.

In our opinion, the DC07 is the model Dyson got right! Sadly, they are discontinued now by Dyson as the ever-demanding market place needs "new" models to feed its' thirst. Dyson still list a very basic "end of line" DC07 model on their website for £233 though.  :o  Why not save yourself a cool £100 and get a better model of DC07 by buying from us?

The model we supply will be full "All Floors", "Animal" and "Allergy" specification. In other words, the top of the range! We give a one year guarantee on these.

A remanufactured DC07 represents a superb value green buy. The casings are constructed from recycled components and only the innards (the bits that actually wear out) are brand new. This not only significantly reduces your carbon footprint, but saves you money too. We tried these remanufactured machines experimentally on our shop floor - not knowing if the concept would work - and people started eagerly buying them. So we extended their availability onto our website.

To date, we have supplied these machines not only to the UK, but to Germany, France, Austria, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Estonia and Russia. Please note: These machines are supplied with a UK 3 pin plug and are suitable for only 220-240 volt systems (not USA). If your country uses a European 2 pin plug (EU and former Soviet Union), you will need a UK adaptor or need to rewire the plug to use it.

If you want a particular colour Dyson (or a combination of colours), please email us at manchestervacs (at) aol.com or telephone us between 10am and 4pm (UK time) any day except Wednesday and Sunday on 0161 223 6814 (From overseas +44 161 223 6814) to check availability and/or discuss options. We will happily build you a bespoke remanufactured Dyson DC07 to your personal taste and specification.

If you are in the UK (mainland), a remanufactured Dyson DC07 delivered to your door by DHL will cost you just £130.

If you are located in the Channel Islands, Ireland (north or south), Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish highlands and/or islands, mainland Europe (EU) or the former Soviet Union, DHL charge us more to deliver to you. A remanufactured Dyson DC07 delivered to your door by DHL will cost you a little more. You can order one here: Remanufactured Dyson DC07

Just for interest purposes, we were asked for a yellow one of these this week. So we built one, here are a few photos of it before we pack it up to go to Sweden.
