SEBO x 4 EXTRA
« on: April 11, 2016, 12:00:40 pm »
I have the chance of getting hold of a Sebo X4 Extra the right side of £20. As usual, the current owner can only tell me that it has stopped working. I know nothing about these at all - on the basis that the motor may be shot, is a repair economical, and what might such a machine re-sell for? Are spares expensive for these?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but have been 100% Dyson until now.......

More likely than the motor seems to be the flex where it goes into the machine. Check that first.  :icon_nod:

Motors are big bucks new, nobody does a copy that I know of, a used one on fleabay might be the cheaper option. If it is the motor.

I could use some old Sebos dead or alive the right side of £20.

It would be very unlikely to be the motor, I'd cut back the cable at the handle end and rewire. If this isn't the correct fix check the male and female connectors in the body and power head, these can be seen when you separate the power head from the upper body
