DC-41 Brush motor belt repair
« on: January 02, 2016, 03:58:51 am »
I volunteered  to assist my daughter with a broken Dyson 41. I found out the belt inside the brush motor had broken. I have tried several parts stores, and all of the belts they sent were the wrong size. I contacted Dyson and they said the belt in the motor is not sold by it self, you have to buy the whole head. Then they said that her vacuum was still under warranty. I said great, will you fix it for free? They said that because I had opened the motor, it voided the warranty. Talk about a catch 22. What I'd like to know is has anyone ever replaced this belt, and what is the part number of that belt? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
