Yes will never be that lovely silver/grey again but all my hoovers get used once restored so not too fussed.The DC02 has been used to clean up plaster which is bad enough in any hoover but the DC02 doesn't seem to have a "Pre" filter other than the foam surround. Hence the motor is stone dead and stinks.Has a complete wand, perfect hose and floor head though so will keep a eye out for a cheap genuine motor on Ebay for it, will make a good car hoover

One thing does anyone know where I can get some spare screws for the base plate?Mines only got one
