Bosch Dishwasher Problems
« on: February 27, 2016, 09:54:56 am »
Right you lot,

Before I buy a new Control Module I wonder if a any of you have experience in this issue.

I have a Bosch Classixx slim dishwasher but the rating sticker with the serial number on it is no where to be seen I've looked all over.
So I'm having to guess parts, anyway... The detergent dispenser stopped working, so I did the obvious and made sure it wasn't jammed/stuck or obstructed and then bought a new dispenser, and fitted it (You may have seen the video).
However! today it stopped working again, so I have taken the front off and checked connections and all seems good. I have run a cycle with the front off and the little solenoid thing doesn't even try to move. I attempted to use a multi meter to check for current to it, but nothing appears to be there.  :D

So, I'm now thinking the control module is faulty, I have found 3 on Qtex but seen as I have no number for the machine it's proving hard to find the right one!

Anyway, do you lot think it's the module or have I over looked something?  I may just buy a new Dishwasher as this one is like... 5-6 years old I think anyway but if I can fix it for less than £53 (the price of the cheapest Module I found) I will.

what's your opinions please?

Thanks ;)

I can't find much on this issue on there, and I don't really like registering only to make like one post then vanishing... I think Bosch are actually Sebo and think it's funny to sell me things that don't work  :D

Also, I worked out this dishwasher is actually 10 years old! I bought it in 2006 haha!

By the way have you looked in the gap at the bottom of the door, sometimes the rating info is there.

Hmm, if you mean on the outside then yeah, I had to look there to get the door off, I'll look around there again to double check lol.

Hmm, there are no marks anywhere on it where a sticker would have been... It's been moved about a lot though in that time, it only takes a kid to pull the sticker off when it was sitting in the hall way and that's the end of that lol.

I posted in that Forum, hopefully I'll get some help as to which module to get haha.

I bought loads of Bosch appliances when we redid our kitchen at home. I am sorry I did.

The American fridge they came out to five times before they changed it.

The dishwasher they came out to, declared it dead and swapped it.

The steam oven they have been out to twice.

The hob they have been out to once.

The big funky steam iron (the type that sits on a base and ha a water tank) is duff and I need to call them about.

Only the plate warmer and washing machine have not needed a service call out.

Bosch used to be proper stuff, I dunno what happened in recent years, but I'd never buy Bosch appliances again.

Hmm well this one has lasted 10 years, I've found out it was made in 2006. I can't afford £200 odd for a new one and I wouldn't like to buy used really... I'm betting it's the Control Module that's gone funny but finding out what one I need is like getting blood from a stone... Even though I now have the Serial number I still can't find the right one... People on that other forum are as much use as a glass hammer.
