Dirt Devil Handy Zip!
« on: March 08, 2016, 08:01:31 pm »
So today after college  I was going to town. I was heading to McDonalds but decided to pop into the cash generator which was next door in hope  that I would see some nice vacuums.

Normally they have atleast 1 Dyson, They had Kirby's and vaxesin the past but there was nothing special there. Only a black vax 6151 for £30 and a Vax air for £60 IIRC. I looked on the shelf and there were steam cleaners AND a beauiful sight met my eyes when I spotted the glamorous, apple red Dirt Devil Handy! I then saw the price tag. £8!!! ;D I though "Yes yes that's mine" but I only had £10 and wanted food. So I went to mcdonalds, carrying a drink and bag of food home on the bus.

Tomorrow my plan is to go back  there and buy it ;D It's just the main unit only, but worth it!

I was gonna get food and the vacuum and improvise along the way home, but I couldnt haggle, the staff were stubborn FFS. Meh £8, tomorrow ;D

How many of you have had one? When I was a kid we only had a Dc01 and a cordless dust buster, would have been more fun with a DD handy  :icon_nod:

We had/have one somewhere I used to play with it as a kid, probably in a bad state now, apparently it's in my Mum's loft lol.

I quite like them, their good little things, and sell well, I picked one up last year for a fiver at the car boot and sold it for £20.

My mum has one, and loves it for the stairs. They tend to eat belts a bit, hers only last a few months of fairly regular use but their so tiny and thin it's probably just how their designed.

Awesome! I can sell it if I get bored of it at profit ;D
Wish they are quieter though
I was hoping maybe clutched Dyson belts might fit?

Well we have a few spiders in our lofts but rats? Mice? If you have those I think you have a bigger problem to resolve first lol.

XD :))
dunno if we have any now, we had 2 of them in our shed, never walked in again. I always opened the door, watched for a few moments for any sudden movements and then threw a massive brick inside just incase

We did have mice before  when we had central heating and double glazing installed at the same time about 10 years ago, we got rid of all of them I am 99.9% sure but you never know about the attic :/

My dad's been there in and out a handful of times recently (kitchen extension taking place) for tools and stuff and he's seen nothing so far

PS we had 2 attics, one at the roof of the house which is now converted and one above the kitchen  ;) so we have one now

Cool ;D

I got it today! Works quite good when the belt isn't stretched, the bags are tiny and I think I willl use it bagless and it's very loud when the brush is lifted up, agitates and grooms quite well for a worn brush

We never used the bags, think they were quite expensive, emptying was quite messy  :sick0012:
