I think MV had this on a dc14, we were all misterfied as to the cause.

I get shocks from our fire pokers  :boggleeye:  I put it down to the living room carpet causing a static charge so perhaps its the same thing.  Some people are more susceptible than others.

That's why it must be static, static can be conducted over plastics.  Tell her the where copper shoes to earth herself  :chuckle:

Maybe she has shaggy carpets and wears socks when vacuuming, then pulls the metal wand out and gets shocked?

Oh yeah I have had a shock fro a Dyson, when I was doing a torture test (emptied the bin and vacuumed it again) and it gave me a shock, probaly because so much friction and kinetic energy was being produced by the huge amounts of dirt being sucked up, or maybe the vacuum was dusty and was being attracted or something? IDK I sort of hate physics ugh

I always got really good marks but I hated static electricity and the different formula stuff and the units

I did however do well in chemistry and Biology :)

I used to love maths but not I hate it, lost interest and just find it annoying and most of it is useless in life like algebra

English was my favourite subject probably, love creative writing and that sort of stuff  ;D

Yes, someone once alleged this about a machine we sold. But it isnt possible the way Dysons are wired; they need not even be earthed as we know.

I expect it will be static as said above. Tell them not to buy crappy nylon carpets.  ;D

I don't think that would go down well she has been a pain all through the warranty of 3 months ,I did tell her about static to be told she has a dc04 for 14 years with no problem at all ,I have said I will look free and charge for any repair she is noit happy but out of warranty that's the best I can do

It's not just me that gets customers like that then.

I seem to attract nutters. I had a guy asking me what light bulbs he needed for some second hand wall units he brought over with him from South Africa! I don't even sell light bulbs. A lady in the shop couldn't stop laughing.
