Got a good deal on eBay on my DC39
« on: March 17, 2016, 06:36:48 pm »
Hiya all,

Think I'm turning into a Vacuum cleaner hoarder got 3x Vacs
Lol anyway my newest is my DC39 was £30 £16 p&p
Add said it all really needed a clean maybe a new filter?

So today I spent my time as soon as I got home with bleach
Cif powder cleaning this up what a mess the cyclone bit is annoying
As it took about 30 basins of water to get all the dirt out from that mesh bit
The filter was filthy to but its been washed out good just need to dry it out before I can use the vacuum I've turned it on to check its suction seems good but I wont know till I use it 😃

There's a few nicks here and there on the metallic cyclone but I'm not bothered
Just happy I got one was going to pay £229 for a new one one don't think so now 😂

I think some tools are missing if anyone knows which ones are can you let me know
The crevice tool is a mess lol

Asked Dyson if there is any warranty on it to as its a 2012 model hopefully they will
Put me down as its new owner 😉

I wish I had a dishwasher that would be perfect for cleaning the filters 😉

No filters go in washing machine, with hoses.

Yes everything except the chassis goes in dishwasher or washing machine, the only exception is dc07 cyclone units because you can't fully strip them. I do have a separate washing machine and dishwasher just for dyson stuff but you can use your everyday washing machine. I wouldn't recommend using your everyday dishwasher :sick0012:

Ooo nice! Where did you get it? I'm jealous lol :))

Good job, I managed to transfer my DC33 guarantee with it's serial number only haha but sadly it expires in November this year! :o
Shame you didn't get the triggerhead, heard they are good

Rusty: WTF lol Petrol with a vacuum?! :biglaugh:

Regarding machines, I throw my filters into the washing machine and if I put a solid part or two in (like a hose with hose cuffs) It's best to put a few fabrics in like old towels to reduce noise

I would put cylinder vacuum hoses in the bathtub with hot boiling kettle water and bleach for about an hour ;)

Filters: if I dont bother with the machine I use something like shower gel or shampoo because they have a nice strong smell,
