Replacement brushbar motor ate itself
« on: March 20, 2016, 04:56:16 pm »
Jesus I rarely give up on things but even for free I wouldn't touch one of these POS again, I am sure this one is cursed!

Righty

I have just finished replacing the bearing race on the ball and set about a test run, power on and awful noise or brush bar jammed. Odd.

Awesome, 1 month old brushbar motor has somehow welded itself to the casing of the head, wrecking both.

Very close to chucking this out now!

Before I do does anyone have a spare mechanism off a dead brushbar motor I could transplant? Then maybe it could be saved?

Very fed up of this ball now  :(

Edit:

Huzzah!

Will this fit an aftermarket mechanism ok?

The 'aftermarket' ones are the same items in a different box (well ours are); so yes.
