I bet there's less than 20 bidders.

It only needs two who want it.

Actually, two people who have seen it on fleabay have rolled in the shop for a look at it. Both ended up there ages musing about the other stuff in the display bit, fawning over the G-Force, etc.

Its surprising how knowledgeable people are. One bloke glanced at the DC01's, pointed to one, and declared, "That's a Chippenham built one", and then went "Ooh, a Recyclone look......"

I would say ive been collecting for 10 years or so, and it was only the year before last I learnt what a Recyclone was,,,then ended up with 3!!!  :D

Im not sure i'd know where they were built just by looking at them but some people like to know every single detail. The more info the better...  ;)

I'm one of those people ;D Can tell by looking at the plastic colour, logo style, little details etc

If a DC25 for example has the ask Dyson sticker with yellow on it, most likely it has a grey cable because they are early DC25's ;)

Of if a DC14 has a coloured end cap and weirdly thin moulded cyclone release catch it's also early and has shinier plastic

Blimey,  I saw it end at £260, refreshed my phone and £900!! Happy or does it still owe you? Helps you value the other one anyway!

Yes, it did £890 (less 13% fees and shipping). It is going to the United States.

As some will know, I came by this as part of a collection. So whatever I can get back from the machines I don't need, makes the ones I do keep a bit cheaper.

So it sounds a lot of money, but in relation to what I paid for the collection, it really isn't. Plus the last Cyclon I saw sold did over a grand (in slightly better condition). So that value is probably about right. I'm happy enough with what it brought. But I took the risk of letting it run with no reserve, so it could have gone either way.

The Rotork arrived at its new home in the US a few days ago, in one piece, and has a related bedfellow that is also a rarity in the US.

I am not sure what the machine on the right is.

Not sure what it is on the right, thought it was a very early Hoover at first but not sure now.

Another one of these has just sold on eBay for £501 plus delivery. Which is actually quite cheap I think.

I had a £496 bid on it just in case nobody had noticed it........

Maybe he did not enable US shipping properly. Plus ours had exposure on ours and other platforms so had a wider reach perhaps. And we did a video for ours so people could see better what they were getting.
