DC29 - Stripdown, repair and refurb

Hi again,

I'm back! After (nearly) fixing the DC02 - it works well enough, but the cable rewind wants looking at. Still haven't finished the DC07 (still half-way through).

This time, I spied a cheap (well for here cheap) DC29 up for sale local , which I picked up this morning for 35 yoyos. http://www.adverts.ie/10161551

All the accessories are there AFAIK, so even if it was EoL, the tools and wand could be used with the non-powered DC31.   Mrs Honda rolled her eyes when I said I'd accidentally bought another. "What do you want it for?" (etc., etc.) "...er, um, something lighter for the kids to play with..."

The motor is running but no suction
All other parts perfect

On talking to the seller it had motor burning smell. Anyway, I took most of it apart this morning as it was nice (until a shower now) outside and checked for blockages (hadn't even powered it up at that point. On finding none, I plugged it in and got that instant whiff - the motor brushes are toast.
