Sounds like the next step is having someone produce entire new dc04's!

Omg yes that would be amazing. Isn't it legal now since the patents have expired or something? ;D
DC14s are tanks, just need a slightly longer motor life. Do plastic parts often break on DC14s? Nope. DC41- Sexy looking futuristic and powerful machine. Just needs a better designed cleaner head wheel and cyclone clip along with a dense metal rod in the chassis.

Patents have almost expired, Patents last 20 Years - I just googled - And assuming the patents were put on with the early dc04's in 1998 then by 2018 the patents should be just about to expire, One thing i'd love to do is stock in with a few parts of EVERYTHING for a dc04 and build new ones, Sadly my Dad won't allow any more Dyson's in the house, He only just let us start looking for DC14's since his DC07 is dieing a sad (Kinda) death, sorry for being a little :offtopic:

20 years? The DC14 came out in 2003 (In America) and 2004 here so by 2023 there could be brand new DC14's and my life would be complete ;D I imagine they would sell well

Yes I think they would, think my Dads finally gave in on the DC07 Animal after bodging the motor together, broken two tabs of the retaining ring both next to each other on the top :'( Dads trick: Electrical Insulation tape, sorta works now, At least the Pressure Relife kicks in now and air doesnt escape elsewhere, Looking at DC14, I reccomended to my Nan a DC07 Origin and she sounded keen on the idea but for Grandad, well we only just got him a DC04 but its not the best, but any more he will kick off big style, The dc04 works perfect, but isnt looking the best being the Dyson DC04 Mashup LTD edition, lol.
But it works brillliantly and nans just doesnt think it works? She thinks a bagged panasonic vac that is 700 wats, bagged and constantly blocked with hardly and suction is better, honestly my Nan at times is quite strange, She said she left her plug down stair (Plug being hearing aid) of course I knew what she was onabout but i Grabbed her the plug in battery charger lol, Sorry for being :offtopic: :offtopic:again

We could have brand new DC01's now since their patents expired 3 nearly 4 years ago now

True but they look old sadly, they aren't a very good performer either really.

I think any Dyson would look modern in 2017 from the DC07- Cinetic.

Or basically all the Dysons with the dark titanium body with red accents
