ELECTROLUX DOLPHIN
« on: April 12, 2016, 04:41:58 pm »
Not Dyson related I know, but I have an Electrolux Dolphin which was bought by my late mum back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, and used by her right up until 2003. It doesn't fit in with my Dyson mania, and I would like to move it on. Is there any interest or value in these? If not, to the tip it goes........

Oooh interested! Do you have a picture of it? I have 5 now...

Wont be able to afford it until the end of the month though!

Or refurbish it and have it as an excellent cylinder.  Their great,  much nicer to use than a dyson cylinder,  quieter too

Thanks for your reply Beko. The Dolphin is currently at our caravan in Norfolk (usurped by a DC04 acquired and refurbished by my wife!). We will be going up at the end of the month, so I'll bring it back and post some photos for you. It was always a good vac - I remember my mum buying it new, and then having to fit the plug for her, as this was still in the era when a 13A plug had to be purchased separately. It's just become surplus to requirements.

It would be late 80s, early 90s, so just before fitted plugs became mandatory.

Sounds good to me,  I look forward to you bringing it home! What colour is it?

Thinking back, the late eighties would have been about right. I can recall unboxing it and setting it up for her. She spent hours marvelling at the pulse control switch on the handle. It's a darkish blue colour if I remember correctly. Our van is in Bacton, Madrat.
