We have one outside in the garden shed, all broken (Except the bin, bin insert, wand, both motors and wheels which are the good bits) The rest is all ruined, so we used it as a DIY vac

I have a standard 05 with a crappy nasty motor in it that is used for diy or the cars.  It's currently being used in our 1976 sprite alpine caravan that is at the bottom of the garden to suck out the rotten wood ready for repair, working really well.

Lucky you
I have killed the following vacuums because of our house extensions:

DC05 absolute yellow
DC04 Absolute+ green Killed 2 motors in that
DC24 All floors
DC08 Origin
DC14 All floors white and orange

I wonder if I can kill a Henry? I dont know, probably not, they are tanks designed for this sort of stuff lol

PS DC05 for a car vac? Wow
I find cylinder vacuums awkward for cars, they have a large handle wheres with uprights it's just a hose cuff lol

I do find upright's are not the best for cars I use my vax 121 for cars

p.s I have stopped doing dc01s as I cant give them away dam shame as I can get as many as I want for free

I only do

dc03
dc04
dc07
dc14
dc33

the dysons that have to be ordered are all canisters as I hate them

dc05
dc08
dc19

BUT like I always say each to there own

On the 05 you just pull the coloured clip out the banner and pull, you then have a small cuff to get it the tight bits.
