Oh cool then. No wonder the DC07 is so popular still.

Actually it's the Dyson DC08. The DC08 has 330 AW of suction and the DC07 has 290 AW (DC14 has 280 AW) and the Dyson DC54 Cinetic 1300W model also has 290 AW. The DC07 models which are VERY early had 330 AW

Oh cool might try and get one of them then of DC08 and did not know the cinetic had 290AW, but as there is no filters I can see why and has anyone actually tried it as I am wanting to get a refurbished one from dyson as it is only around £250 I think (I checked a few weeks ago now)

How would I know which DC07 has the 33 AW.

Thanks

The early Dc07 models with 330 AW are the British made models. They have light grey plastic (not to be confused with the silver shiny plastic) and may have brittle plastic though. They say "DC07" on he cleaner head, not on the motor housing and not on the bin. The cyclone will have no number by the rectangular hole where there is a seal.

On the serial number it should not mention "Malaysia"

I have this for my serial if it helps131-UK - E 89773 and it is not the shiny DC07 . Mine does not say the DC07 on the cleaner head though and not on the bin either.

Thanks

PS it's not really much of a difference in suction with your DC07 and a DC08, DC07's clean better cos they have a brushbar
