DC11
« on: May 23, 2016, 04:15:31 am »
Did not get the DC19 so went on Ebay and won the DC11 for £26 . Which I think is a win win. :)

Are these good as I like the look of it and I am trying to get a collection going.

Thanks

I'm not a fan of the DC11 from a useability point of view, the cyclone entry clogs up, the hose is too short, the extension tubes are fooking bulky, the whole thing is clunky

As a collectors piece, crack on! I have one in the shed that needs all 3 small tools and the floor head - £no chance, I got given a DC19 with a blown motor (again, too battered to re-sell), but Amys Aunt needs a vac so will remove the motor from the 11, and maybe a few other bits and tip the rest. The DC19 has no small tools either, but being Amys Aunt I can put any old tools with it!

Mine isn't mint! Although if you need any bits, I need to rip the DC05 apart I have for some bits for you

Oh so for the general use of it, does not it work good then. As I could just tell him to cancel it as I have not paid yet.

DC11's aren't the best vacuum but they are no really bad either, but a Dyson DC08 or a DC19/DC20 is MUCH better to use, more reliable, more user friendly, more common and more easier to fix if anything goes wrong with them.

I must be the odd one out here! I like the DC11 I have an excellent condition BOXED 'Allergy' with brand new Turbine Head and the paperwork in storage (Sorry Mvacs I cant part with it).

I used to have a DC11 All Floors as a daily vacuum. Quite good for upstairs vacuuming.

I went to a vacuum dealer recently and apparently there is something special about the DC11 motor they use, it lasts for ages or something. He can sell a bulk lot of DC11 for ££££s. Just for the motors.

Cool! I want a very reliable DC14 motor, they just seem to always burn out. Kind of off topic but i know there's a non genuine Qtex motor which lasts longer than a Dyson Genuine one but IDK which one?

I like the dc11, it is a bit clunky but performance is as good as a dc08/19

Would you say it is worth £26 then. Thanks

I don't think i's a bad vacuum, but if you're going to vacuum hair/strings i can get caught between the two bins so you will have to unclog that because by the time it gets full it's gonna be a big clump of it

Surprising who reads here. Today a bloke rolled in and said, "I read you want a turquoise DC11", and a deal was done for these two........
