I am still trying to get a cheap cylinder Dyson. Found one on Ebay but the seller says "when you switch it on nothing starts"
Is that an easy fix like is it maybe the motor or the fuse. If not I will not bid. Just wondering. Thanks

Well as you said that could be anything from the fuse is blown down to the motor is dead... There could be a loose wire, loads of loose wires, burnt circuits, many things I'm afraid but that's the thrill of buying a machine that the seller says it won't turn on. You never know.

I've had loads where the seller has said it won't come on, and it's been a fuse or in one case there was nothing wrong with it at all and I paid 99p and sold it for £180.

Yep,  for 99p id take the chance! I've had a few dc08s with broken  switches, the design of the foot pedal must be a bit brutal

Yeah, I've bought Karcha Pressure washers that wasn't suppose to work but did, many Vacuum's including Kirby's and Dyson's.
Loads of Petrol lawn mowers that wasn't suppose to start but magically did for me, or in some cases a new plug was all they needed...


Buying a cheap non-runner is always worth it

I buy the 08/19s working or not soaking wet from the tip for £10 a pop mainly just for the floor heads and a few other salvageable bits don't pay over £15 and if it's no good you will be able to make money in breaking it for spares

Thanks guys. Found someone else selling them on ebay that just needs a clean also they work and they are cheap. Can I ask why do a lot of people seem to like Henry as I've never had one but people seem they are good. How can the suction be any good, if it is a bag. Thanks

I like Henry's ONLY for cleaning the car, the suction is pretty good but carpet cleaning is no good at all.
