Can't work out how to reassemble a Dyson DC05 motor-head that had a Panasonic SDS1204SD motor, with the new YDK replacement motor unit in a modified housing from Manchester vacs. There were no instructions from them as to where each of the 3 wires go and nothing is labelled either. Any clues out there please? Would appreciate a phone call 01743-860572 - I'll gladly pay reverse call charge for it. Video might help if available.
One is live, one is neutral, one is the extra neutral spur. Two are colour coded with plugs.
If you can't figure out where three wires go when you took apart a unit that had
the same three wires, then you really shouldn't be doing jobs like this. Take it any competent local vacuum repair shop, show them what you bought and I am sure they will work it out.
Conversion kits of that nature assume a basic level of technical competence on behalf of the buyer. Refitting three wires usually doesn't require
a video.
If you want to send it all to us in bits we will reassemble it for £15 (our minimum charge) plus £8 return carriage.
