Dc07 folding too easily
« on: July 13, 2016, 05:13:55 pm »
My dc07 has recently become very easy to fold.

What I mean is when it is standing upright and I'm using the hose attachment and I made the machine the brush bar folds down and the suction goes to the brush head instead of the hose attachment

Is there any way of tightening the fold mechanism?

Look underneath there is a black plastic arm with a small wheel on it just behind the brush bar, if this is worn it will cause your problem.

I once had a DC04 with the plastic arm missing ( it's black on DC07s) and it would recline the head when pushing it around and if it goes over a bumpy surface. It's either loose or missing
