Electrolux Vitesse+ 1900w - Stripdown and Refurb

Hello my Vacuum Cleaner Chums!
Sometimes I get fantastic, rare, interesting cleaners to stripdown and refurb for your pleasure!
However, this is not one of those cleaners! It was given to me in a damp field on a wet friday in June...
A cheapo bagless upright, made in China. Ace!
I took a few videos initially, one is a first look
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nrfOduGVj8
and the other is a quick belt fitment and vacuum
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7Kzv6q8mWI
So, once it was confirmed working, I put the filter and hose through the wash, and stripped the machine down a few week ago!
Starting with the turbo tool
The RizorVizor unclips from the edges
2 screws release the top of the turbo tool
The main turbine lifts out of the shell, and the retaining bracket is held on with a small circlip
The axle pushes out the middle of the turbine
The brushroll and belt comes out, and the brushroll end caps pop out of the brushroll ends
The attachment tube is held on with 2 small screws
like so
And the turbo brush is stripped!

Onto the machine itself now. Extension tube and crevice tool out
Pop the cable off the hooks
The top handle is held on with a long screw at the top
and pulls off the machine once removed
One long screw and 2 shorter screws on the top handle split it even further
The turbo tool holder is screwed in behind the front plate
And the top cap is released with a little tab
Moving down the machine, the lower cord hook/hose guide is removed with a short screw
Like so

The cord hook pops out of the bracket from behind
2 screws from the top release the bracketry that holds the hose and extension wands at the top of the machine
After this, one long screw releases the whole spine of the machine from the base!
The cyclone seal pulls out of the chassis
and we can move onto the bottom of the machine! Hood off
The little belt viewing window pops out
The brushroll lifts out, and the end caps come away
The belt is tricky to remove at the moment though, but luckily the next thing to do is remove the pivot rings holding the 2 remaining parts of the machine together!

The wheels come away with the removal of a circlip, and the assembly splits out nicely
The release pedal unclips from the back of the chassis
And the front wheels are removed from the chassis by unhooking the little spring and lifting the assembly vertical and lifting it out
Next to what looks like de-watered, heated, filtered WVO is the height adjuster knob, which turns until a peg aligns with a slot
and lifts out
The front wheels split down nicely
And the lower chassis is stripped!
Onto the motor housing now, and we start with the blanking plate for where higher spec models would have had a light!
Nowt under here

Some screws release the motor housing
Some snipping occured
and the motor was free
The motor suction is linked to the machine by a rubber adapter that sits under where the hose connects

The switch button pops out
As does the switch itself
The fancase seal and suction adapter thing pull off
ID markings on the motor, no idea who they are
Cyclone/Bin assembly now

Under the top is 3 screws
Which once removed releases the top suction channel
The bin clip pops out
and the seal pulls off the end of the top part
The bottom bin flap pops off its tabs, and the rubber seal pulls off the outside
And the bin flap release catch pops off, revealing a conical spring!
Everything was washed and polished as usual, and we can not commence re-assembly!
Bottom flap and seal back on the bin
Release catch fitted

Onto the top part now, and the cyclone top was fitted,
That done, it's time to fit the filter. If you remember back to the before videos, this was choked, and it took me a good 20 minutes picking it clean with a screwdriver, then 3 hours in the washing machine
And the bin is done!
Moving on, I rubbered up the motor
Fitted the switch
Fitted the switch pedal
Time to wire the cables back up now, so they were stripped and twisted

Some nice crimps found
and connections made
The motor can be fitted now
and the motor housing screwed up
And the blanking plate fitted
Front wheels now, re-assembled
Drop the height adjuster knob in
And fit the wheels to the lower chassis
Release pedal fitted

Rear wheels next
The motor housing can be lowered onto the lower chassis now, the belt fitted as it's easier and the retaining rings screwed down
The brushroll can go back in now
The little window can be clipped in and the hood can be refitted
Moving on up, fit the seal to the spine
And that drops on to the machine and is nipped up with the screw
Tool hooks fitted now
Lower cord hook fitted

Top cap back on the handle
Turbo tool clip and the front plastics screwed on
And the handle can be fitted to the machine
The cyclone can be clipped on
And the washed hose, tools and cable can be fitted, along with a Dyson dusting brush I found that fits perfectly!
Time to lob the turbo head back together
Charlie helped with this bit
Then got bored so we went into the garden for the last little bit
RizorVizor fitted

And we are done!
I took some after shots
And sold it for £25 the next day, so no after video I'm afraid, but rest assured, it has excellent suction, groomed very well and was bloody VERY LOUD!
Hope you enjoyed it!

It fits internally, so the hose goes over the whole outer of the tool!
