If you use the disc ones, it can impede air flow has always been my thought.

I always put air fresheners there, and have never had issues with overheating due to airflow impedement. I use the disc type. Stu hates them, but I get people asking me for a new one when it stops smelling!

My DC04 has a disc one on top of the post filter, the airflow seems normal to me :) No change in sound either
DC14s are tanks, just need a slightly longer motor life. Do plastic parts often break on DC14s? Nope. DC41- Sexy looking futuristic and powerful machine. Just needs a better designed cleaner head wheel and cyclone clip along with a dense metal rod in the chassis.

hi there  my granddad has been putting disk air freshers  in his dyson for over 10 years and no problems yet

just keep the filters clean and empty the bin before it gets full and it should last a good while

I hoped we have all helped in some way
