Can you put freshners on the post motor filter?

So today i decided to put a stick vac freshener on my dysons post motor filter and i wondered if this could cause damage to the machine ?

If you use the disc ones, it can impede air flow has always been my thought.

Cant see it can do any harm. I know a lot of people use them.

I always put air fresheners there, and have never had issues with overheating due to airflow impedement. I use the disc type. Stu hates them, but I get people asking me for a new one when it stops smelling!

My DC04 has a disc one on top of the post filter, the airflow seems normal to me :) No change in sound either

You saw my video on how to use the fresheners ;)

I always use a disk fresher on mine with no diffrence, I did upgrade my standard filter to hepa though on my absolute because the original owner has replaced it

when you put the filter in a few drops of zoflora in sponge been doing it years small pump bottle few drops jobs a gud un .cheap to use to

hi there  my granddad has been putting disk air freshers  in his dyson for over 10 years and no problems yet  :thumbsup:

just keep the filters clean and empty the bin before it gets full and it should last a good while
