Great thread as usual  . What vacuum will the lady get for upstairs? Should be a good solid for a few years!

hi everyone, my vax v-006 works great for about 5 minutes and shuts down for about half an hour, is it probably overheating or is the thermal fuse faulty?

Hi. I'd vote overheating initially. Take the entire bin and all filters off, and run it bare (don't do any vacuuming with it...)
does it overheat still? Is the air coming out of the exhaust on fire? If so then your motor is getting so hot it's triggering the thermal cutout I'd imagine and that only leads to one thing eventually for the motor...
