Well I have to say the white makes it more appealing than the red one to me... Still not one I'd feel happy about handing my hard earned cash over for though I think I like the squarer shapes more lol.

The strangest thing ever happened to me yesterday. I was sat in a bar with my partner and was taking about Felix. 15 minutes later we went back to hotel and there in the reception a lady was vacuuming with SEBO Felix Navy.
I've never seen this machine in real life before so asked the lady if I could have a look.
It's really really light, much lighter than Ball Animal 2 .
I tested the suction and it was really, really disappointing. What is more vacuum was making a really loud beating sound when the brush roll was on.
I asked the lady if I could see the dust compartment and the dirt was literally coming out the bag. No wonder that suction was rubbish.
It was also quite warm where the exhaust filter is.
I really wish I knew about this make before I bought my Ball Animal 2.
At the end she said that it's been broken many times and they had to send it back. Maybe cause they don't change bags regularly  :o

Indeed, sounds like no proper maintenance. We've never had a Felix back.

It just really bothers me that it's got C for dust emissions with EU rating even though it's supposed to have hospital grade filtration.
It doesn't have any rating for hard floor cleaning. What does it mean?

The EU ratings are utterly inaccurate as James Dyson proved recently in court.

It say on thir website that it has airtight system. I've watched some review on YouTube and it shows that it doesn't really have airtight system and leaks some air. Where is the truth?
How often do you need to change exhaust filter? I'm going to recommend it to my partner's sister as she wouldn't wash Dyson's filters regularly.
Do you guys know what's the body weight without the floohead? I cannot find any info online. Just want to make sure that it won't be to heavy for her to vacuum stairs.

I'd regard solid info from the manufacturer more than 'some review on Youtube'.

Exhaust filter: Being the outer shroud? Never.

I'll get a weight sans head for you.

We weighed a Sebo Felix vacuum for you without the head.

As we see, it is a little over 5kgs.

So anyway, you never need to change post motor filter? Isn't it going to get dirty?
As I understand all Felix models are the same apart from the colours and tools?
How can you vacuum for example cushions, it's not gonna be easy holding the cleaner and in an upright position it can easily fall over.

In a bagged machine, the bag is the main filter. On a Felix, its filtered air that passes through the outer shroud. Only using bojack bags or using it without a bag might clog the shroud up.

I know I'm getting a little bit annoying but I'm just learning and discovering about Felix as it is a really tempting machine.  :-\

My partner's sister hasn't bought a new cleaner yet as she's not sure if Felix will be good for her. She's thinking about buying Shark Lift away as it's in sale now on Amazon and a lot of her friends recommend that.

I found some intriguing comment on Youtube:
Do not buy this product in the UK - I used it twice and the button for release of base stopped working properly. Customer services basically blamed me for accidental damage and said that the 5 year warranty did not apply to anything external. There are no service engineers in the UK and I was left with fixing it myself or paying to send it to them. I think the Germans have a word for this product - MIST.

As I'm thinking about it now, I've seen machine twice. Once in Lewis' store and it had a problem with bag closing. It didn't want to click for some reason and it kept popping out. The cleaner was also strangely pulling forward on carpet while turned on. It was like a dog on a lead. Is it normal?  And another time in a hotel where I was staying. It was blowing really warm air all the way around the outer shroud. So basically while using it in handheld mode it would just blow on me?
A lot of people complain about the smell. Well, you get fresheners with it wherever you buy it which means that smell is quite certain, am I right?

I've also seen a video where a guy was saying that Felix got a different kind of belt that ain't gonna snap. I didn't even know that it had a belt.  :underchair:

So bag is main filter. Is it better than Miele's bags then? Miele's exhaust filters get really dirty even with genuine bags so in Miele's case bag is not a very efficient filter.
If Sebo's bags aren't better than in my eyes shroud will get dirty.

I can't comment much about Miele. We get many Miele cylinders in with blown motors which some say is down to using copy bags.

Shark: Tragic design IMO, iffy build quality, few spares available and no proper backup as mentioned.

Comparing Shark and Sebo is like comparing a milk float and Mercedes. They are not in the same stable.

Felix has a belt in the head. Like all Sebo it is toothed so doesn't slip, and is made of kevlar so doesn't snap.

You need to go and try a Felix somewhere before buying if you fancy one.
