Anyone done a DC75 Big Ball Cinetic Motor Yet? SDS1553AZFA
« on: October 07, 2016, 01:53:45 pm »
I am trying to find out which motor will fit in the Big Ball Cinetic, as Dyson only list an expensive bucket assembly as with the DC41.

The number on it is SDS1553AZFA.

When we establish what fits, we will of course make them generally available.

I always thought they were 1300W like the DC41 :/ Never knew they exceeded 1400W! :boggleeye:

I haven't come across one with a dead motor yet. I though they were 1300w as standard too.

Did you ever find a suitable replacement DC75 main motor? I have been given one with a dead motor to refurbish. I can't see one listed in your shop here:

The ball shell is much bigger than a DC41, so could easily fit a 1600 watt motor I suppose.

Thank you for the link. Do you have any details of the model number and/or wattage of the DC75 motors you are getting?

Also, do you sell a pre-filter for these to protect the new motor? There isn't one in the cyclone but I have seen some on eBay.

All DC75 motors are the same. These are genuine Dyson new ones we've got.

DC75s dont have a pre filter. That's why the motors go.

I know they didn't come with a pre-filter from the factory, but my research suggests that they can be retrofitted:

Similar style as a DC41, but much shorter and truncated to a cone shape.

I've never seen one fitted to a DC75 personally, but I see some list that CY22/23 filter for the DC75. It's not one we keep but I can get one next day and they would be £24.65.

If one could be retrofitted as you suggest, that'd ge a good addition.

I think it will also need 2 x post-motor filters as they are blocked and smell bad.

How powerful are the new motors?

Same as the original, 1600w.

The motors and filters are now on the site.
