'Slim Ball' Upright—Loosing Section at Dust Bin/Cyclone Junction

Slim Ball Multi Floor Upright
Dunno if I'm posting my query in the correct folder; there's no "Slim Ball" listed, sooo...


Subsequent to cleaning my vacuum, it is drawing air—audibly—at the junction between the dust bin and the cyclone thingy such that it has almost no suction at the brush.



The O-ring on the cyclone thingy appears in good condition: It’s intact, snug, and isn’t kinked.



Presently, I have electrical tape wrapped around the rim—works, but definitely not ideal.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
