DC80??? Should i buy?
« on: October 27, 2016, 09:11:13 am »
Hi guys,

I have an offer to take a Dyson DC80 Vacuum second hand, All working, The woman said its lost suction, No tools.

How much should i pay her for it?

does anyone know how much the filters and tools would be and the kind of price i can expect to fetch when its all cleaned up and serviced?

Thanks in advance.

Ollie...

DC80? I think she means DC08 lol.
They are good popular machines, I bet it's the filter that's clogged. They are worth the usual mid range Dyson amount, let's say if you refurb it to look as new and hardly used, has all tools etc you can get a worthwhile amount, like between £70 and £120 if you decide to get tools for it.

If you want to sell it without the tools then you can still sell it for over £50.

Thanks for the advice Parwez,
Yeah i think she means an 08, shes very dizzy tho lol.

That seems worth doing if i can get it for a decent price, is it only 1 filter they have?

You're welcome & there's also a post motor filter under the bin, it just unclips- no tools required.
