DC14s are tanks, just need a slightly longer motor life. Do plastic parts often break on DC14s? Nope. DC41- Sexy looking futuristic and powerful machine. Just needs a better designed cleaner head wheel and cyclone clip along with a dense metal rod in the chassis.

I serviced number 117217, of these recently and was impressed with the suction. The cable keeps breaking at the body though, due to no grommet.

I have the blue and silver dc01 which is basically this model but with normal dyson stickering, it has the ydk motor and is a lot more powerful compared to the dc01 that was fitted with Amtek motors.
Nice looking machine, you need to keep hold of it as there seems to be less and less available in good condition these days.

I got my first blue DC01 and I couldn't stand it, it's alright but the blue looks quite old to me, it reminds me of Mentos as well I'd much rather have a yellow Dc01 Standard TBH, especially as I grew up with a DC01 standard
IMHO:
The first Dyson sky blue- DC01 and DC04- Meh
DC07/DC08 turquoise- Lovely! (especially with purple)
Current Satin chrome blue on the DC41 etc- Bloody amazing, makes the vacuum look lit!
If it's wet it looks even better
