Cleaning Clear Bins
« on: January 26, 2017, 05:28:41 pm »
Hi all. How do you clean the dyson clear bins? I've seen DC07s done by MVacs and the bins look new. What do you all think is the best way to clean them?
Thanks for all your warm welcomes btw. ;)

Hi mate

Wash the bins as well as you can in hot soapy water
Leave to dry
Spray the inside with hairspray (the shinier the better)  and let it dry

I use a hair dryer on the hottest setting and then the cool button and it dries within seconds and they go pretty clear! ;)

Let me know how you get on!

what i do is remove the insert so its just the clear bin then i fill it 2 thirds up with warm soapy water and scrub the whole of the inside of the bin then i leave it for 5 mins then scrub all around the bin again then i empty and dry the bin completly and polish the inside with mr sheen furniture polish it doesn't get them as clean as mvacs dysons but not bad.

Thanks for the tips guys. I will invest in hairspray. I already do wash them with hot water and cream or flash gel seems to work well.
