Reporting back in, the replacement part arrived from Germany first thing Monday morning, great service, however I was bit busy and due to the fact that I had carried out my weekly vacuuming on full power only a couple of days earlier, ha ha, I left it until today to fit it.

I'm happy to report that once again the Miele is back to working as it should, full control on all power settings and no hunting up and down, the  lugs on the replacement part were ever so slightly different to the original, so rather than attempt to modify them, which wouldn't have been too much bother, I simply switched the boards over.

In case anybody is interested, and if I'm allowed to put a link here, this is where I got the part from

www.staubsaugerservice-albay.com

I found them on Ebay, they appear to have numerous parts for Miele on their site.

Thanks again for the help, much appreciated.

Dave
