Suction on tool does not work well.
« on: February 10, 2017, 03:32:48 pm »
Hi, I got a stair tool the other day will put picture in the post but when I connect it to the dc04 it spins but slow and the other one I have got does not spin at all. Is it because it is not suitable for this type of vac. The suction on the hose it self is very good though so I don't see why it is being very bad.

Thanks

The purple one does not spin what so ever but you can feel a bit of suction coming from it.

Remove the soleplate, and make sure the seal is there. On mine when i took off the soleplate without turning off the machine it sucked the seal down and then the brush doesnt spin, I had to empty my bin so I could get the seal. Make sure its there, If it isnt then let me know while i work out a few solutions

Just looked at it and looks all the similar to yours with the seal everywhere. I will try it out with the dc07 instead. Thanks

It works ever so good on the DC07 so I have cleaned the bin and cyclone out of the dc04. It should perform just as the dc07 did. Thanks

I have noticed just yesterday when using mine on the 04 the brush does spin quite slowly however it does still work pretty good,
They spin soo fast on the DC14's though
