Miele Blizzard CX1 Comfort Bagless cylinder
« on: February 15, 2017, 04:39:03 pm »
I'm getting this from AO.com to review ;D I'll have to do a review of it, so watch this space...

Any thoughts and opinions on it? It's single cyclonic apparently but it's a Miele so should be effective maybe. I currently own a Miele S5 which is a brilliant machine, I hope this is better. At the price, for £400, a straight suction cylinder is a rip off IMHO. No turbo brushes?!

How did you come by copping for a review machine? Do they get them back or not?

i have never used this forum so please do be patient.

i have looked at these Miele's and i decided after all of 3 minutes that it was a waste of money and not worth much more than £30 and the reason i say this is the single cyclone which is technology you CAN get on a cheap Chinese Argos branded vac!!! I  am not however going to make that my final judgement on the vac because i would love to see how they cope in everyday use and obviously its built much better than an Argos vac  ;) ;)

I think you get to keep the vac in exchange for an in-depth written review and a video review.

They give you products to do a written review and a video review of and in exchange you get to keep the product as Olli mentioned :)

Ikr, not something I'd expect from Miele, though it looks a bit better than an average single cyclonic vac, and since it's a Miele I'm expecting it to be good  :icon_nod:

Very good video! It looks like it does perform pretty well. However the filter cleaning mechanism doesn't seem to do much. Better than nothing I suppose?

Thank you  ;D - My thoughts exactly! :)

One thing I can't get over is how cool the handle is. It's not electronically attached to anything, it's remote controlled! I left the Miele downstairs, took the handle upstairs and it bloody worked ;D So cool!

I also love the "monster suction". We have a thin pile rug which I used it on, the floortool literally glues itself down and it seems to make grooming marks as good as an upright  Quite good for a straight suction vac eh?

I've found the better quality floor heads from miele usually do a really good job, and I really like how full power is usually completely unnecessary. The remote control sounds really cool! Hope we get that here eventually...
