DC59 red light flashing
« on: March 05, 2017, 12:10:00 pm »
I have been asked to look at a DC59 where the red light flashes when the trigger is pulled, and the motor won't start up. Looking at the Dyson online support, it helpfully informs me that a flashing red light with the trigger depressed means 'there is a fault': which I had already worked out for myself...
I'm guessing charger, battery or motor? Best way to narrow these down please (I will check the charger output when I've collected the machine)?

I'd check the battery for voltage, and the charger for output, and if those two are okey it must be something stupid as it'll have a Computer in it I'd imagine.
