Do i need the Hepa+ Filter in my De Stijl?
« on: March 05, 2017, 07:07:29 pm »
last week i took delivery of a near mint DC04 De Stijl, the HEPA+ post motor filter is a bit ruined, i believe someone has tried to wash it in the past. If i buy a normal filter pad to put in it will the performance be enhanced by much like in the DC01 or will it remain about the same?

Hi there, Funnily enough I have a DC04 De Stijl which had a dead filter, I replaced it with a post pad instead of the standard HEPA and can confirm no difference in performance, it stays the same,
You could buy the hepa cheaply from manchester vacs or the pad which I think will be slightly chea[er

Yes better for allergy/asthma sufferers,
Neither am I asthmatic or allergic to anything however I do prefer the HEPA filter, Mainly because it should catch more particles since there is more filtering areas than the pad with just... well... A pad
