A few days ago I worked on a DC14 Origin which was stored in a shed for a while; there was a live spider

Never ever ever ever ever ever try to take a handheld apart.
If you do the only re assembly tool available is a hammer.  :duh:

Just bought a filthy DC35.  I am going to try to take it apart as much as possible to clean it.

I also have a few hammers.

Darn, I was hoping to clean the wand out.

I also didn't get the head :(  Are there any decent, cheap aftermarket ones?  I'm not paying the suggested $110 for it.   :boggleeye: :boggleeye: :boggleeye: :boggleeye:

Hi all,

My 'bug' story was many years ago a customer brought a Hoover junior in for repair stating "it won't pick up" the job was passed to me and straight away I could feel the bag was full. I unzipped the outer bag to find the paper bag had split and an avalanche of maggots came flooding out all over my bench !  :angryman:

To cut a long story short the vac was fixed (outside in the back yard) but the customer never returned to pick it up !

Marc.
