Bin, Cyclone locked flap - no handle fix
« on: March 12, 2017, 08:11:52 pm »
we are all going to do it at somepoint in our lives in Dyson refurbishment - And thats poping the bin on the cyclone and locking the flap before replacing the handle.

Well I have found a solution - Instead of forcing open the flap and breaking the flap/flap release then you simply undo the screw holding the cyclone release rod onto the handle - take the rod without the handle and pop it into position - now this is easy since you can see where you are placing because you have no top in the way, and simply place into the hole and press down on the rod with the bin in mid-air, and Yay! your bin has opened without you breaking it, now you just simply replace the rod and screw into the top, and lever the rod into position with the flap open, in the bottom of the cyclone as normal, screw the top down and close the flap - simple
