Hello there, I need to get a new battery and want to get a powered roller head but need to make sure that these will be compatible. I was given the machine so don't have the instructions of box to know for sure.

I have uploaded a couple of photos in case you can help me identify the exact model that I have.

I'd appreciate your help with this, thank you.

Does the battery release with a screw or a clip?

Does the machine have an electrically driven or vacuum driven head?

Hello and thank you for your fast reply.

I can't see any screws around the battery but equally I can't figure out exactly how the battery should be removed without using brute force.

It did not come with a powered head, it came with the standard accessories minus powered head and extension tube.

Can you post a photo of the machine itself? It doesn't appear to have a serial number on the label.

Leave this with me. I will pass this on to our Engineers.

Edit: Can we see the back of the machine near where the charger goes in as there are two types of battery?

The battery can be removed by pressing the grey button (with the arrow on at the rear of the machine) and sliding the battery downwards.

There are two batteries available for the DC35. The normal one (sometimes referred to as 'Type A') which slides in and out and then the 'Type B' which screws in. You require the former which slides in without screwing.

If you purchase a DC35 powered head it will fit your machine. Don't purchase a head for another model as they all have different fittings.

Thank you for your reply. That is good to know.

I am a little bemused by the fact I have one of the two powered types of heads and the contacts line up but there is a piece of plastic on the brush head stopping the accessory making contact with the machine.

I think it's the right head, can you please advise?

This is part number 62748, which appears to be for the DC35.

Your powered head is from a V6.

Your powered head is from a V6.

Indeed, and mrdyson is the author of the sticky topic we have here explaining about fitments on cordless machines.

Interesting thread, I don't understand how that is a V6 accessory though given that the part number brings up ebay listings for this part and states that it is from the DC35.

there is a piece of plastic on the brush head stopping the accessory making contact with the machine.

If it fits otherwise, and the pins line up, etc., you can dremel that extra piece of plastic away.

Think I will do that.

Can you please confirm the correct part number for the other powered head available for this DC35 (Type A)?
