I'll have a go at your suggestion looks like the only way it will work. The reducers/adaptors are ones I had with my handheld dyson (bought it as a refurbished set) the reducer dosent go inside or over the turbine adaptor unfortunately

Elgin is wrong.

I am not aware there is a reliable adaptor to do what you want. But there may be a work around.

The DC08 head you have, measure across the inside of the tube hole. What does it measure in mm?

Also a photo of the tool ends of old and new would help.

You are correct this is a minefield. Especially with DC08 and DC19 heads. Why we sell >these<.

The other problem you have is any head that is bigger than your original will struggle to spin very fast as the DC22 is a smaller machine than normal with less suction than a full size cylinder.

I dont really have much idea about these adapters
