DC28 - Amazing performance

So I recently revived a DC28 I purchased for $20. There was alot of tearing down, cleaning, scrubbing, oiling, grinding (!!!) and rewiring (due to not taking pictures of how the loom/tubing was originally
) but it was worth it.
To give some background, I purchased it from someone who either kept it in a damp basement or a garage. It smells of mildew and had what appeared to be wet cat litter mashed in the beater bar, head, internal hose, chassis, cyclone and prefilter (!). I had to disassemble the entire thing (save the chassis, I just ran some lysol wipes through all the tubing and into all the crevices), which included the huge challenge of the entire head.
The head itself had been rusted badly, leaving the small wheels rusted solid (which I had to use the dremel to grind off the rust, then push the rollers back into place with some plastic to keep them in from falling out). The beater bar was also in bad shape but is not made to be serviced. I wound up filling the ends with a penetrating oil, spinning the bar until the oil seeped back out, filled with dirt and rust, wiping it clean and adding more oil back to the fray. I probably did that about 100 times.
Pet hair and a bad odor was all over it. The cyclone was an easy clean. The hoses were washed. The prefilter was hand washed and then tossed in with the laundry. I have a new HEPA filter on the way. The rope seal was also missing. I was able to use some foam backer rod in place of it. I'm not paying $2 for that!
One item of note: the plastic on this was very worn. Perhaps this vacuum was used in a poor environment or uses different plastics, but the plastic-on-plastic wear was very noticable and very bad on this vacuum. Nowhere near my 8 year old DC14. I got some of this:
https://www.amazon.com/Loctite-36781-ViperLube-Performance-Synthetic/dp/B0045NK4YK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493911006&sr=8-1&keywords=viper+lube
and applied it with a brush. Hopefully that extends the life of the parts a bit.
So, back to the finished product, I had a trial run a week ago, put it on medium pile and vacuumed hard. I then followed it up with my DC14 which still ground up a decent amount of dirt and dog hair. Last night I got a chance to give it a thorough run on deep pile. The amount of dust and dirt it pulled from the carpet was amazing. It even managed to pull up some suspicious white fuzz which I can only imagine was from the carpet backing...
In any case, it was completely worth all the trouble I went through to refurb it.

Beko, I meant that I want you being mailed here, to me, for my amusement.
I am going to chain you in my basement with some tools, a camera and a laptop. Occasionally, I will throw a broken appliance your way and you will make me a pictorial for my personal collection.
And for that remark, you will only get the worst of american chocolate.... the kind that is worse than eating a brown candle.

You realize that shipping to you would still cost ~$500, right? I could give it to you for free and it would still not be worth it.
