Well played.  :-*

I'll lightly polish that, find a photo and bung it over there.

Anyone want to do the DC40?

Parwaz - the hose on the DC40 is the same length as the DC41.

The DC40, DC41, Dc55 and DC75 all have the same hose.

Hi. Question about DC75 Cynetic Big Ball. What power of suction it has? On dyson.com it 180AW, on dyson.co.uk only 120AW. It's the biggest dyson and his suction power lower than dc50? Thanks

The EU regulates motor wattage to 900w so that may be why the UK model is lower. Parwaz will know.

The USA ones have a different amoutn of suction compared to the UK ones. Dyson now measure airwatts at the cleanerhead instead of at the hose suction now hence why the airwattages seem low.

The DC75 actually has similar suction to the DC33- pretty strong suction.

The DC50 has low suction compared to the DC75. One is a small vacuum with limited power, the DC75 is a beast and is actually pretty powerful. The DC75 is 1300W, but should be less than 900W now that the 2017 EU regs have kicked in

Good coverage of the DC11 and pictures of models.
It would be nice if al the Dyson DC08 models and variants were fully listed and the colours they cane in. It was in some members opinions the best of the mains powered canister pull-along cleaners?  grahamwin

Given I was prompted recently, there’s a few updates I can provide to the model list thread, if admin would be kind enough to add them to the ‘official’ one:

The Dyson Ball Animal 2
Released in March 2018, the Ball Animal 2, which carries the model code UP24, is similar in appearance to the Light Ball model that it was introduced alongside. For the first time in a number of years, The Ball Animal 2 features a metal wand, plus a 360 degree articulating hose joint, a cable length of over 10m, a tangle free turbine head (which unusually can be stored on board the machine, unlike any other Dyson model) plus a floor turbine head for reaching under furniture. Typically retaining at £299 here in the UK,  it boasts a larger dust capacity than the standard models, but it is heavier.

The Dyson Small Ball Allergy / Small Ball Animal 2

Unlike it’s name would suggest, this machine is totally separate to the previous (2015) version of the Dyson Small Ball, which carried model UP15. This (at the time of writing) current version is a re-hashed model UP22 Light Ball- now boasting a Deep Blue colour for the popular Allergy model, or traditional purple for the Animal variant.
Spec wise; see previous model UP22, it comes in pretty lightweight at under 7kg, with a 9m cable, but alongside the standard crevice / dusting brush / upholstery tools, Small Ball Allergy owners will also benefit from the included large Soft Dusting Brush and Mattresses tools, and S.B.Animal2 owners will also receive the Flexi Crevice Tool & Turbine head.

The Dyson V11 Outsize
Currently as of March 2020, the top of the range of Dyson’s vacuum cleaner lineup is the V11 Outsize, which comes in at a hefty £650.
First released in the US in 2020, it has since found its way onto the shelves in the UK as of January 2021. It features the biggest dust capacity of any Dyson cordless cleaner to date, plus a large diameter high torque floor cleaning head, for wide area coverage.
Like the addition to the main V11 range in mid 2020, the V11 Outsize features an easily removable clip-in battery should it require user replacement in time.
The first photo shown below shows the Outsize against a standard V11. It is noticeably larger (the dust capacity is almost 3x more), but surprisingly just 0.5kg heavier than it’s standard sized counterpart.
Like all V11s, the advertised run time remains at 60 minutes.

The Dyson Ball Animal / Multi Floor 2 (USA / CANADA ONLY)

Over in the States, the Dyson offerings differ slightly from their UK range, despite having similar model names.
The Ball Animal 2 (NOT to be confused with the UK B.A.2 of course, for they share NO alike components) and the similar Ball Multifloor 2, are full size corded upright models which use the older generation Click-Fit accessory system, plus a unique cleaner head design not seen in the UK- for the Dyson techies among us, it’s basic shape is the same as the ERP DC40/41/55/75, but oddly it lacks the suction slider, and has a different brushroll fitted to boot. As a side note, the power buttons, wand, ball cover and furniture guard are all colour co-ordinated to each model variation, unlike the UK models.
At the time of writing, these are current models in the USA / Canada.
