I'm guessing it's got a snafu of some kind. I've misplaced the handbook at the moment, not that it would do me much good. The machine hasn't seen much use although it's probably a couple of years old.  ::)
Any ideas anyone? what do I do with it and what's likely wrong with it?

check your receipt as they were sold with a 2 year warranty.

According to dyson, which isnt much help, it could be battery - motor or the electronics - which is just about everything inside and out.
Not seen this fault myself as yet. much easier to diagnose if you had a different battery etc.
The only way to fail is not to try.

Thanks, I'm not sure where the receipt is, it's probably with the handbook (although I can't remember what that looks like if there was one), maybe they got tidied at some point.  :evilgrin0002:

You dont need the receipt to register it for warranty. Do it online and guestimate the time you bought it.

Thanks for that, I've sent Dyson here an email but it takes 7 days for them to reply to a question, according to what they say in the automatic generated email reply.
