TRANSFORMER UPDATE:

I bought this to use with my DC17, it worked for about 5 mins then blew itself. My vacuum stopped like there was a power cut.

The DC17? Bloody beast! Never had a vacuum groom so well, it picked up a hell of a lot from two rugs, I'd expect to get this amount around the whole house with a DC07.  The hose suction is like a DC04 though?!

Anyway, I really need a good transformer that will handle a 1400W DC17 being used every day for about 10 mins everyday. This industrial one just blew up so I'm losing hope

Im not sure wether it would work? but could you not wire up a dc04 zorbster toc to it and connect the power then have the 110v wires, wired how they need to be to produce 110v to motor?

I'm sure the DC04 too Has a speed control rather than a voltage controller

I'd say you need a new hobby but frankly you're not getting into trouble, so why not? 

You should find a way to turn this into a way to meet girls.

Maybe you need a higher KVA? Like a 3.3 instead of a 1.
