Can't seem to find a US socket for this type of transformer :/

You won't. Buy a 110v transformer plug and a US socket and make one with a bit of old 3 core.

Cheers I'll see what I can do

Ooh yes thank you Ian ;D I didn't want to replace the US plug with a UK one incase someone in the house would use it on a UK socket and blow it up :o

Find an adult book store.

You'll get a whole list of life lessons that day.  Most you won't like.

An 18 year old Japanese guy, living in England, who posts recreationally on a site for vacuum enthusiasts and just dropped some cash on his foreign dream Dyson and is trying to figure out how to wire it up to work in his locale?  C'mon!  :underchair:

I was smart.  I got married before I got this nerdy!  :))

This would be a neater and possibly safer if more expensive option.

DO NOT use for devices drawing more than 10amps (1100W max.on 110v)

DO use for devices drawing more than 10amps (1100W max.on 110v) if you like fires

Generally everything here maxes at 12A, which is a legal (?) maximum for standard 15A circuits.
