Hi my dc25 ball motor has stopped working. Just before it stopped it sounded be running faster and then just stopped, the fuse in the plug is okay. When I opened the ball I could see that the ball air filter had been removed . Could this have caused the motor to fail.

Having the post motor filter wouldn't have made a difference, however, the motor may have blown due to an unknown cause. Beko1987 will have the answers failing that Mvacs forum is a place filled with knowledge on such things!

I would suggest main motor has had it, probably due to filter in past being neglected.

Thanks for your advice. If I get the motor replaced what are the implications if I ran the dc25 without the ball motor filter ? As I just want it for hovering the car etc.
