Dyson DC20 Animal Stowaway help need please
« on: September 06, 2017, 11:52:28 am »
Hello, hoping someone can help me as have failed to find any resources on the internet so far. My dyson started to lose suction, and gave off a rubbery burning smell. I made the presumption that the belt had gone and needed replacing. Have spent all morning looking and can't find any information on how to open up the machine and verify this, how to replace the belt (if indeed that is the case) - or anyone who stocks the belt.

Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Firstly take the filters out and remove the hose. Plug it in again and if you still get the smell, its probably the motor.

If it's a DC20, it doesn't have a belt anyway because it's a cylinder machine.
