We use the DC16 for little pickups, when we remember to charge it... But a general floor one would work. When we had the laminate I used one of manchestervacs 32mm adapters and a normal wand and floor tool, but now we have carpet for now it's not great. Currently use a Rowenta stick vac I bought from the car boot sale cheaply to sell, but it's a bit clunky and heavy.

Great thread, thanks for taking the time to do it.

I still haven't had one in ! never even touched one and only seen one in one of my customers house.
The only way to fail is not to try.

Use a long wand that I built myself with mattress tool for hard floors, but ours is a dc16 animal so has a little power head for the carpets and stairs. Its fab.
