dc50 brush bar motor
« on: September 28, 2017, 01:43:55 pm »
Hi, Just about to buy a dc50 ERP brushbar motor. Am I right in saying all are the same and fit ERP and non ERP dc50,s?  I know the actual brushes are different sizes slightly but not sure on the motors, Thanks for any replies.

Unless you are buying a used motor, you will be buying a part cleaner head? I am not aware the motors are available on their own new.

Are you sure the motor is at fault? The PCB is a more likely suspect.

As far as I know, the motors are the same ERP/non-ERP, but I dont *think* the part cleaner heads are.

Yes 2nd hand . just re-checked the voltage at head and no voltage, I take it all pcb boards for dc50 are the same is this the only thing that could be at fault and is there a way to check pcb board to be at fault?

You are checking for a DC output? On a DC50 the PCB is in the machine not the head, you are looking for an AC input and a DC output from that PCB. If you have input and no output, the PCB is duff.

There are two types of PCB (ERP and non ERP), we have always replaced like with like, but others in the trade report no issues when interchanging them.
