DC59 Pulsating
« on: December 07, 2017, 10:07:22 am »
Hi everyone,  I have a dc59 that charges ok but!
The first problem is that the brush roller does not turn, I have tried the bin assembly, extension bar and roller head all on another motor body and that was ok.
The other problem is odd in that it runs for about 5 seconds then pulsates in power. Does this even with the filter removed or replaced.
Any ideas?

Surely that is covered by dysons warranty ?
assuming they had a 2 year ticket with them.
The only way to fail is not to try.

I asked the same question, turns out they did not register the warranty as they use it around their pub, still think they should have called dyson, but I am still curious to find out what this is wrong.

That would usually be this flap jammed up with muck. Free it off and clean it. Its supposed to move freely.

Assuming you have cleaned the terminals on the bin..........

You need to take a meter and check the power output where indicated.

If no output, replace the main body unit.
